A Travellerspoint blog

My last entry was over a year ago, wow, sorry about that! I traveled to Germany for my birthday this year. Not sure if I would go back, but it was definitely interesting! It was cold, and being a vegetarian who craves fresh fruits and veggies daily, it was tough. The architecture was magnificent and the people were kind, so definitely worth the while.
At the moment, I am planning my travels for the next year. most people call it a "gap year" but for me, I'm just traveling and working and living freely until I decide I'm ready to go back into the world of schedules and reports and grades. oh grades, something I wont have to worry about for a long time!

Heres the travel plans for the next year:
late September: California to visit people for a week or so
October: El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua then to Buenos Aires, just backpacking, relaxing, meeting people
Early November: Patagonia for 4 months working and living on a retreat ranch
March: Santiago, Chile for a month working at a language school teaching English.
After that I plan to head to Africa, possibly working with WWOOF, and perhaps after that Laos or New Zealand or Paris, who knows!

I would love to hear about any ones experiences in these places, and places I must go, perhaps good hostels to stay at?
I already have most of it figured out, but I can tell you now, no matter what, it will be the experience of a lifetime, one I have been waiting for for years. My mom is terrified, and so am I, in a good way. I can feel the butterflies building up in my stomach, ready to be let free, ready to fly, just like me.

I have also started a new blog, so I wont be on here very much....as you can see, I'm already horrible about updates!
